Battlefiield 3 settings - Tuact

Having trimmed version 300 to my preferences, so the deadzone was low, the mouse sensitivity was up about 1.5 and the ironsight was increased a little too, comparing this with 203 i had to trim all the settings again and found that it was slightly improved in "mouse feel" but during game play my charactor kept getting stuck, like i was hitting a wall but i couldnt manouvre at all, then randomly it would pick up movements again. this didnt happen on v300, so i went and tested it in single player to rule out internet lag and it happened there as well, so im assuming some form of connetion issue. Going back to 300 the roblem went away?!

tis strange, i found that after going from 300 to 203 when the game was searching for a multilayer game to join, the nunchuck would blink? this didnt happen at all with version 300. again this might be suggesting a connection problem that is only present with the 203 firmware?

very strange, but it might be worth people who have intermittant issues with their aimon on v203 to try v300 to see if like me the connection issue dissapears?

bf 203 firmware is hot garbage.

it seems 203 with what type of deadzone i feel like using I am making movements all across my mousepad and not getting much movement on screen. really really bad

i will be back experimenting again this evening, obviously we must all remember that we will all have personal preferences that differ slightly, a friend of mine for some reason likes a big dead zone so it doesnt wriggle as his hand shakes..... i suggested not letting his hand shake

ive just been playing bf3 using MAG 203 and as a instant action no alterations situation it is a lot more involving than the bf3 firmwares.

having increased the mouse sensetivity and decreased the dead zone only a fraction it is really quite improved. i will have to get into multiplayer to see how it runs.

settings are as follows:

MAG 203
mouse speed 1.25
deadzone 30

mouse pad test returns a constant 45 average with no drops below 40.

im not 100% sure that when i unplug the dongle from the ps3 that it always saves the mouse speed and dead zone data as when i plug it back in it can sometimes be back to the slower movement speed

palkers, strfx, can you show us your settings? would like to try it.

phipck, that issue you described, ive gotten that on several other firmware. it doesnt seem to be a firmware issue, but a hardware issue... the battery compartment is poorly made. you may have just been unlucky that you experienced that on 203 all the time.

when this happens to me (which is rarely - happened a few times even playing bfbc2), i usually have to push the on button again, or push in the battery.

blinking lights could mean low battery status. had that once (after having used mine for over a month). recharged and hasnt acted up since.

the blinking light only happens when using bf3 203 firmware, only happens when the ps3 is searching for an online game, only to the nunchuck and stops as soon as a game is found. Not sure why, but it doesnt do it with any other firmware for me, and the issue is repeatable. so i dont think it is a low charged battery.

i am going to check the battery compartment, im not 100% sure that it is to blame as the nunchuck stays pretty still in my hand while playing however i dont like having momentary paralasis when a heavey machine gun toting enemy is laying fire in my direction

good luck with my settings, again i dont think the dongle is saving my in game settings back. I had to drop the dead zone a little then up the sensitivity a fraction when returning to the game so my settings as discribed in this thread may be slightly sluggish compared to what i ended up playing with on the ps3

thats strange as this loss of connection rarely happens to me. i played last night about 4 or 5 games, never lost connection with wand or mouse.

i unconsciously changed my settings again... i was wondering why it seemed to have improved a bit. looks like i increased my mouse speed when i checked the setup software. maybe the BF3 1.02 patch also made it a bit better.

i agree that either ive suddenly improved or something has been improved in game with the updates. Ive gone from getting around 1-1 kill count or slightly better if im lucky which anoys me as im so much better on the pc, to last night getting 10-4 pretty consistantly doing nothing different. also tracking the enemy has become improved, i dont know if this is to do with efficiency enhancements made in the update or whether DICE have increased their aim assist? I hope they havent as i quite enjoy the difficulty of the games aiming charatoristics.

Lately I've been trying to get the SQDM winner ribbon and for some reason, the server keeps putting me in these teams with newbies who just stay put and don't do anything, while the other teams are all ranked 40+. Just like BFBC2, they're pretty terrible when it comes to balancing teams. It's pretty annoying. Now, I'm not that great, but these guys I play with make me look good as I'm the only one making kills. it's ruining my W/L and K/D ratio.

anyway, enough about my ranting... haha

what I wanted to ask is, are you still using mag firmware with that result? using the same settings?

you know what, i cant remember! after experimenting with a few firmwares, i came back to it the next day and just played without checking what firmware was on there.
if i were to hazzard a guess i would say that its the BF3 300 as i had issues with the 203 nunchuck cutting out they were the last firmwares i had been experimenting with.

my battlelog username is phipck so feel free to take a look at what ive been doing. Earlier last night was where my k/d was sat around 10/4 then as i havent really played outside of death match, i played a few conquest matches where i wasnt actually in the action so to speak so my k/d ratio is a lot lower there. thats because i spent a little time playing around with recon or support just spotting and sniping or supressing to get a feel for the class. I feel i need to gain experience in these classes rather than sticking to one, so that i become a more versatile player, able to fit in a team well. The aimon has certainly improved my ability to aim closer to how i do on pc.

can people start adding their battlelog name to their settings list, that way we can compare the aimon platoon

Yepn this is still the problem. Slower movements at the start then shooting off.

Are you saying the problem is still the same with 300 or 203? Have you tried it since the patch?

On another note, is krapclan really a clan for people who aren't very skilled? If it is, can I join? haha.

Since the release of the patch I have gone back to BC2 v203 and it is working good for me....

Battlefield version v300 is too sensitive. I couldn't get it down to a playable level.
