TOPIC: Mouse Pad Test Results - Whats normal?

Hi All

First of all, thanks for your help with the mouse pad surfaces in my other post.

My next question is what does everyone get for their "Mouse Pad Test" result?

No matter what I do and no matter what surface i try I cant get anything over 68
and 68 is an absolute maximum whilst staying still.

The majority of the time I get 50 - 55 with the mouse moving round.

Looking forward to your replies (and advice maybe?)

ive been getting about 40-50 with my mouse pad and gaming has been fine. I know i will see accuracy improvements with a better pad but as my gaming chair is custom i cant just put a normal mouse pad on it without modifications, so untill i find a surface that works well i wont be making any changes.

Ok thats what i wanted to hear

I have a gaming chair too and its no where near a desk or anything so im using a lap tray with a folder on it at the moment (trying things out)

Think i'll concentrate on the settings rather then the surface then, as long as im getting 50+

I get a max of 86 with a Razer ExactMat. I've had that pad forever. However, my Elite doesn't like it at all a registers around 26 with it.

For me, I use a filter from the inside of a 17" lcd monitor that had died and I had disassembled.
It give me an average of 60-65, and never drops below 55 (Which I now consider to be minimum for the Frags for smooth play)

My dedicated mousepad gives 48. And weirdly my plastic coffeetable protector sheet gives 78.....
